2014 was a year of drawing. It was a fucking good year.
Drawing has always been the backbone of what I do and what I love about doing what I do. It’s both a nostalgic experience and a highly connected one that reaches deep into my child-man-brain and draws out whatever nonsense seems to be lingering. I feel the most Graeme when I’m doodling, and though I have the rough patches where I seem to have completely forgotten how to hold a pencil, I return to my sketchbook every day to remind myself why I’m here in the first place.
Most of these are from my Instagram sketchbook but I’ve included a few larger scans of some pages.
I’ve recently discovered a large format scanner at my local library and I’ll be scanning some full spreads of my sketchbook soon. My first trial turned out some ugly scans that had to be destroyed forever.
